Impact of Medicaid and SNAP Changes

Impact of Medicaid and SNAP Changes

A recent federal budget bill, H.R.1, will significantly change Medicaid coverage (also known as Apple Health), SNAP eligibility, and other social support services. At North Sound ACH, we believe everyone deserves access to quality, affordable health and social care serviceswithout barriers. We are sharing this information so that communities can prepare, know their rights, and connect with resources.

As of November 12, the federal government has reopened and services are running again, but funding uncertainties continue. We are gathering regional and local information about these impacts here. If you have resources or information about Medicaid coverage, SNAP, and WIC eligibility, and other affected social support services, please contact us at Team@NorthSoundACH.org.

If you or someone you know needs help getting connected to emergency food assistance, or any other health and social supports, our Community Hub connects you to trusted community-based workers (CBW’s) available to guide you to local supports – completely free and available to anyone.
