In 2020, the original treaty document was returned to the Northwest for an exhibition at the Tulalip Tribes’ Hibulb Cultural Center, centering on literacy and treaty rights. This article traces the history of the treaty as well as the efforts made to bring back the treaty for a short period of time to the people who were signatories.
