2025 Learning & Advocacy Series

We are excited to announce the return of our Network Learning Sessions! These bi-monthly presentations and panels explore topics grounded in equity and the vital conditions shaping our work in the North Sound. Each session features insights from local experts and members of our Network, fostering meaningful dialogue and collective learning.

AANHPI Advocacy for Immigrant Communities

On May 21st, our focus was promoting cross-cultural support for current immigrant communities, increasing awareness of AANHPI communities in the North Sound region, and building knowledge of AANHPI history and anti-Asian exclusion. By connecting history with present-day actions, we can help protect the most vulnerable through informed action. Learn more about the rich history of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities and how their experiences inform today’s immigrant rights movements.

Setting Sun Institute & the Digital Heritage Library

On June 11th we hosted the staff from Setting Sun Institute, an Indigenous-led think tank grounded in Salish Wisdom, for an in-depth look at their multifaceted work, including the Digital Heritage Library—a dynamic platform designed to share Indigenous knowledge and foster intercultural understanding. Rooted in values of stewardship, equity, and relationship, the library uplifts voices of the first stewards of the land and supports educators, researchers, and changemakers alike. Discover how this living archive is helping to preserve oral histories and reshape how we connect, learn, and grow together.

Trans and Intersex
Health and Well Being

Join us on July 16th for a powerful conversation at the intersection of health, identity, and justice. This webinar explores the urgent realities facing trans and intersex individuals amid growing legislative attacks and systemic barriers to care. Grounded in trans-led insight and practice, we’ll examine what holistic, affirming support looks like across social services and community care. Whether you’re a provider, policymaker, or advocate, this session offers critical learning and actionable pathways for solidarity and change.
