A Vital Condition to Well-Being: Reliable Transportation

This article looks at how patterns of land development have resulted in sprawl in the suburbs and disinvestment in communities of color, leaving all communities with fewer transportation choices. The burden of pollution, road traffic, underinvestment in public transportation tends to fall disproportionately on communities of color and low-income communities. This article also offers a message of hope, and looks at how we can create reliable, safe, active, and inclusive transportation systems.
